ABOUT

I was very young when we moved to the states from Argentina, and what I remember is mostly music. My parents loved music, it was always on, and they say that the only way to get me to fall asleep as a baby was to play music to me. When I was five I became convinced that I’d become a world famous pianist. Fortunately, or unfortunately, (I’m still not sure) one Christmas I was given a nylon stringed guitar by my uncle, a present which in many ways decided my fate- it was a hell of a lot cheaper than a piano and like it or not, it was the only instrument I could get my little hands on. So, at age ten I started taking guitar lessons with the local public access television musician. He had a show with his wife who played flute and they both had the largest collection of tie dye clothes and sweatpants that I had ever seen. I didn’t really like taking lessons so I began to write songs instead. For a long time, my songs served as an escape from music lessons and from having to interact with other people (I was extremely shy). And, although years later, I ended up studying music in college, which is something that I gained a lot from, I always have preferred to spend time alone and write sappy songs on the guitar.

Now that I’ve finished a master’s degree in ethnomusicology, I’ve finally found the time to devote myself completely to writing and I actually found other people to play my songs with me! A band in my name, I never would have imagined in my wildest…well, I kind of always hoped this would happen.

It has taken me years to have the courage to place my songs in the public’s eyes, I truly hope you enjoy what you hear.

Thanks for visiting my site, I hope to see you soon!
